Lenovo Yoga 700, A Convertible Laptop Running On Windows 10 Has Been Launched

Friday was a big day for Lenovo. The company has released its 2-in-1 laptop Lenovo Yoga 700, and this device is available in two screen sizes: the 11-inch model costs $599, while the larger 14-inch model is priced at $899 and it can be preordered from Lenovo’s official website. It’s not known when these tablets will reach the Indian market, but without a doubt, the sales will start next month.

Lenovo presented its convertibles at the IFA show in Berlin and the Yoga 700 is considered the 2915 version of the Yoga 3 tablet with an 11-inch screen, so it uses a plastic chassis and has similar features. The screen flips over completely and even the air vents are like on the previous model. The Yoga 700 has a mini-HDMI port, USB 3.0 ports, as SD card slot for expanding the internal memory and the screen can be used in four modes – tablet, laptop, tent and stand. It supports Dolby DS1.0 Home Theatre technology for the audio part and it runs on Windows 10 64bit. The bezel is quite thick, but you won’t be bothered by its appearance.

Lenovo has given the specs for the 14-inch model, which has a 10-point multi-touch IPS display supporting a Full HD resolution with 700:1 contrast ratio. The tablet weights 1.6 kg and it has a thickness of 18.3 mm, while the processor is very fast, because it’s the sixth gen Intel Core i7 with built-in security, which is backed by Intel HD Graphics 520 and 8GB DDR3L RAM. You’ll enjoy playing 3D games and take advantage of Windows 10’s features which will allow you to use your imagination and take it to the next level. However, you should know that Lenovo gives you the possibility to customize your tablet with an Nvidia GeForce GT 940M GPU.

The internal memory supports up to 256GB, and because the drive is SSD, the applications are launched quickly and the files are transferred fast. The tablet has also a HD webcam and it’s powered by a 45Whr Li-Polymer battery (20percent improvement over the predecessor, which provides up to 8 hours of use). The tablet is also equipped with a card reader, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.1 and has HDMI-out.

The specs for the 11.6-inch model include a full-HD IPS display with an 800:1 contrast ratio. Inside, it features a 64bit Intel Core m3-6Y30 processor which runs at 900MHz, but whose speed can be increased up to 2.2GHz, and it’s backed by Intel HD Graphics 515 GPU and 8GB of RAM. The tablet has an internal memory with a capacity of 128GB, it’s powered by a 40Whr Li-polymer battery, it weights 1.1 Kg and has a thickness of 15.8mm.
