According to a report, AT&T is going to add a new budget Android smartphone to its lineup. AT&T customers will be able to purchase the LG Phoenix 3 online at att.com or at any of its 5000+ stores in the United States. The smartphone will be priced just at $79.99, which is a good option for those who are looking to purchase a cheap Android smartphone to use as a secondary device.
In terms of design, the LG Phoenix 3 looks forward to the same design on its predecessors with distinct curves. The smartphone comes with a 5-inch with 480 x 854 FWVGA display, which can be considered a downgrade when comparing to the 720p HD resolution display on the Phoenix 2. But the lower display resolution as well as a few other hardware downgrades have made the Phoenix 3 more affordable than its predecessor, which was already launched at $100. In terms of specs, LG Phoenix 3 is rumoured to be powered by a quad-core chipset, but there is no specific details revealed yet, maybe a MediaTek chipset. There is no info about the amount of RAM either, but the AT&T mentioned that the smartphone comes equipped a 16GB of internal storage.
As for the camera, the LG Phoenix 3 features a 5MP resolution snapper both at the back as well as the front. The selfie camera comes with a dedicated light, which allows you to take great selfies even in low-light condition. Similar to other most budget smartphones out there, the device just sports a rather small 2500mAh capacity battery, so you shouldn’t expect fo a long battery useage . In terms of software, the Phoenix 3 will run on LG’s custom UI layer based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. You can also see a lot of AT&T’s bloatware added to the smartphone.
