It seems that customers cannot wait for the appearance of the HTC 11 this year, but the rollout of HTC U, which is codenamed “Ocean” is a possibility. Until now, all the information related to the HTC U is still being kept secret. In spite of the fact that some guess the smartphone can be launched between now and the end of April, the first live photos of the HTC U unveiled by Evan Blass have deleted all doubts.
The most outstanding feature which can be noticed from those photos is just a big old HTC smartphone whose shape is much similar to the U Ultra. Instead of a square camera lens, the HTC U is equipped with a circular camera lens. The similarity is also identified regarding the dual LED flash on the back. It sounds that this flash takes after the liquid metal paint job. Apart from above features, the HTC U will have a fingerprint scanner below the display.
Previously, according to the Blass’ sources, the HTC U would include the Snapdragon 835 together with a touch-sensitive frame and now it turns out to be true. Besides, thanks to the Edge Sense technology, users can take control of a lot of customizable actions and gestures including squeezing or swiping along its left and right sides. This is supported by embedded sensors in the frame of the smartphone.
In addition, the HTC U is going to run on the Sense 9 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. Apart from that, the device also owns a 12 MP IMX362 Sony sensor for the primary camera; whereas, the front camera makes you impressed with a 16 MP IMX351one. Last but not least, you can look forward to 64 GB and 128 GB models which feature a 5.5-inch QHD display and can be expandable via a microSD slot.
